RHOBH’s Teddi Mellencamp Discusses Removing New “Abnormal Spot” Amid Brain Cancer Battle, Reminds Fans to “Get Checked”

“I’m Standing in the Fire” — RHOBH’s Teddi Mellencamp Reveals New ‘Abnormal Spot’ Amid Brain Cancer Battle, Pleads With Fans to ‘Get Checked’ 💔🔥
“I’m terrified. I’m furious. I’m heartbroken. A new abnormal spot has shown up — a brutal, unrelenting reminder that this fight isn’t over. Every moment feels like a battle for my life, every heartbeat a warning that nothing can be taken for granted. And yet, I refuse to hide, to stay silent, to let fear rule me.
I’m crying as I say this, trembling as I share it — because if telling the truth, showing my pain, can save even one life, then I will lay it all bare. Cancer doesn’t wait. It doesn’t forgive. And it doesn’t care who you are.
No more whispers. No more pretending. No more hiding behind polite smiles. I’m ripping the mask off, showing the raw, ugly, undeniable truth of this battle. I’m scared, I’m furious, and I’m fighting with every ounce of me — and I will bring this truth into the light, no matter the cost.”
Teddi Mellencamp took to her podcast on Tuesday to remind her listeners to “get checked” after having an “abnormal spot” removed from her skin amid her bout with brain and lung cancer.

As she continued to fight back against the disease, the 44-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was met with yet another challenge as doctors discovered a worrisome spot on her skin, which prompted her to encourage her fans to stay on top of their health.

“This is a reminder that even if you have lung cancer, brain cancer, whatever, you still need to continue to get your skin checked, because yesterday I went to get a skin check and I had an abnormal spot,” Teddi revealed on the August 19 episode of

Two Ts in a Pod. “And so they removed it. They’re sending it in to get checked.”

“The good news for me — what I’m telling myself — means it’s okay, it’s in a new spot. All of my original melanomas were on my back, and this new spot is on my stomach,” she continued. “I just wanted to remind you guys because I hadn’t gone in about six months for a particular skin check.”

In response, Teddi’s guest co-host, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania, 54, noted that Teddi’s update was a good reminder for fans who are also facing challenges, like other cancers, that may take them away from their medical appointments.

“That’s a good reminder because people don’t think, especially with everything you’re going through,” she stated.

“You’re like, ‘Oh, I’m getting checked,’ but no, you gotta remember, go get your skin checks even if you’re in treatment for something else,” Teddi pressed further. “There’s specialty doctors that do specialty things. So I’m really glad I went yesterday, because now we’re on top of it, and it’s gonna alleviate some stress.”

While Teddi has been honest with her prognosis, she recently proclaimed that she believes she’ll ultimately be a cancer survivor.

“I would say probably 50/50,” Teddi shared of her survival rate on a July episode of

The Jamie Kern Lima Show. “But I truly believe this when I say this … I truly believe that I’m gonna live.”Teddi Mellencamp was featured in a full-time role on
